In the 2019 forest fires, the Amazon lost about 1 Billion trees.
Our mission is to replant the lost 1 Billion trees by 2022.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know that the trees are planted?

Once your order is complete, we assign you to a plantation project. Sometimes this might take up to a month as we collect all orders and plant them together in one go. Once the trees are planted, we send you a QR code with details about the species along with the geotag. We also share pictures of your trees.

What tree species do you plant?

We try to plant as many species as possible for bio-doversity (read about the Miyawaki method we use below).

When we start on a project, we create a database of all the native plant species for the region. These species are then classified into major species and supporting species depending on how tall they grow. Then based on the sapling availability in the local nurseries, we pick 4-5 major species and 4-5 supporting species.

Most common species we have used in South India region are: Azadirachta Indica (Neem), Tectona grandis(Teak), Jasmine sambac(Jasmin), Punica granatum(Pomegranate)

Can I buy the tree as a gift?

Of course, buy 'Gift trees' package and drop us a note (support@replantamazon.com) on who you are gifting to. We will take care of the rest.

How is the order fulfilled?

We have multiple projects going on around the world. Once your order is complete, we assign a QR code, that you can use through the lifetime of the tree to track its growth.

On scanning the QR code, you will see a personalized tree page with information about your tree, location and pictures.

How often will I get updates?

We send tree updates every month so that you can see how your trees are growing. Miyawaki trees grow to 15ft canopy in a year.

What happens when the tree I plant dies?

We guarantee 100% survivability of our trees.

In the Miyawaki method, 90% of the trees survive their first year. For 10% of the trees that don't make it, we replant them and make sure they are taken care of for the next 2 years. Once the trees are 2 years old, they would have become part of a self sustained forest.

Miyawaki Method

10x

faster growth compared to regular plantation

30x

more dense with plants, shrubs, bushes and trees of all heights and sizes

15ft

canopy forest within a year

100%

guaranteed survivability of every tree planted

Miyawaki forests are real forests that grow 10x faster than monoculture tree plantation. 15 feet canopy in one year. A Miyawaki forest is 30x more dense with plants, shrubs, bushes and trees of all heights and sizes. These forests are inherently sustainable where all the organic matter and the soil nutrients are naturally recycled.

We guarantee 100% survivability of every tree planted in our Miyawaki forests.

Miyawaki Process

Identification

Choose the place based on rigorous site survey and look for potential natural vegetation. Identify and collect a large number of various native seeds. Germinate seeds in the nursery.

Adaptation

Nurtured saplings which have been growing under the shade-roof and then under 30-40% shade-rate are now adapted to natural environment conditions in the existing forests. This process takes from a week to a month.

Prepare the Land

Prepare the ground by cleaning the soil, nutrients are added for fueling growth. Set up all the elements needed for water retention (barks or construction of hillocks)

Plantation

The key to planting is to plant in a dense manner and respecting the biodiversity inspired by the model of the natural forest.

Water & Weed

Miyawaki forests grow 10x faster than regular forests. Water and weed removal are actively done for 2-3 years. After this period, the forest is self-sustained.

Our Projects

Bengaluru

We have now completely shifted over to Miyawaki method of foresting. We believe that this is the best way to reforest the planet.

Active Project: Bengaluru, India

Area: 102 Acres

Current Stage: Plantation completed on Dec 15, 2019

Chitradurga

Project Area: 220 Acres

Type of trees: Sal tree, Indian Rosewood

The saplings are going through adaptation now, so that we are ready for tree-planting season in 2020.

Land Preparation

Adding nutrients to the soil

Sapplings sourced for the plantation

Planting the trees

Mulching done post plantation. The sticks are for supporting the first 2-3 months of growth.

Praise

I planted 24 trees to signify my Grand daughter's birthday on the 24th of this month, she will be 2. The guys even sent me a beautiful card to share.

Having heard about climate change so much over the last few years, I was guilty of having not done anything. I researched a few organizations which were doing this. ReplantAmazon felt like a company which was focused on making sure that my money gets used the right way.

I heard about ReplantAmazon from a friend while discussing about climate change. I emailed their customer service representative who answered all the questions that I had. I planted 100 trees.
